The Rowville
Club held their formation meeting after the end of the 1973/74 season on 23
April 1974 at Rowville Primary School.
They first
competed as a team halfway through the 1974 Cross Country season when they
hosted a Cross Country meeting at their school's bushland setting on Saturday
1st June 1974.
Athletes on this
day in the newest club performed well considering the rest of the athletes had
been competing for a few months. Best placings were a third place (U/9 Boy R.
Rickets), two fifth places (S. Arthur and A. Smit) and a seventh place by
K.Allen
Their first Track
& Field season started in 1974/75.
